Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) and Public Safety

GTCC offers a full-time, accredited 22-week Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program, comprising 868 hours of instruction in law enforcement, investigations, patrol procedures, and emergency response. This program prepares graduates for the state certification exam to become a police officer or deputy sheriff in North Carolina. We also offer programs in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Public Safety Administration, and Criminal Justice, providing students with the skills to serve and protect their communities.
